HOW TO STAND OUT AS A LEADER – TIMOTHY LARSEN
Our next guest is one of my favorite leaders that I ever worked with. He is truly passionate about helping others and he is the person that If he sees you down he will pull you aside and make sure you are okay. I crossed paths with Tim when he was my Unit Manger. I used to report to Tim for over a year, but recently he started a new position as the Director of Sales for Tulip Cremation.
BIO: He started in 2001 as sales associate, the same position I currently hold. In ’09 he got promoted to a front-line sales manager and later in 2015 as the UM. He attended UNF and received his B.A. in Finance and continues his education at Jacksonville University for his MBA. He hold Lean Six Sigma Blue Belt also.
When I first moved to Tim’s department I requested to sit down with him and told him all about my goals and what I wanted to achieve while working as sales associate. I told him I wanted to learn about project management and about sales and marketing, and that I had all these ideas I would love to bring to the department. I got worried after I got everything out of my chest and I though he might judge me, but it was completely the opposite. He connected me with the project management team and introduced me to the executive leadership team at our corporate and has only pushed me just to become better. I am so excited about this interview so without losing any time lets get started.
